easyJet inaugurates new route between Copenhagen and Newcastle

As of December 11, 2003 easyJet connects Copenhagen and Newcastle with daily flights. The plan is to use a Boeing 737-300 aircraft with seating capacity for 148 passengers. easyJet will arrive in CPH from Newcastle at 8.15 pm and depart for Newcastle 8.40 pm.

”The route to Newcastle is yet another example of the low cost carriers’ rapid expansion in CPH” states Trille Tang Dalsgaard, Head of Airline Relations in CPH.

”easyJet is one of the biggest and fastest growing low cost carriers in Europe, which obviously makes us welcome their expansion out of CPH. Newcastle is a destination we have wanted to offer for a while. The Danish capital will from now on be connected to two easyJet hubs, namely London, which is served three times daily from CPH, and now also Newcastle.” says Trille Tang Dalsgaard.
