Forbes: Denmark best country for business

For the fourth time, Forbes Magazine has rolled out its annual Best Countries for Business Ranking.  And for the second consecutive year, Denmark has taken the no. 1 position.

The report looks at business conditions in more than 120 countries and Denmark was strongest in every aspect. The mix of low inflation, low unemployment, emphasis on entrepreneurship and lower taxes combined with high ratings for innovation and technological ability means that Denmark maintains its no. 1 position in Forbes’ ranking of Best Countries for Business.

The ranking recognizes the importance of personal freedoms and includes means to quantify this, such as free and fair elections, legal protection for investors, levels of corruption, stock market performance, intellectual property rights, promotion of free trade, and levels of inflation and taxation on income and investment.
