The transfer potential at Copenhagen Airport strengthened
The purpose of the recently conducted CPH Interline Conference was to create a forum where the participating airlines could meet, negotiate and create new business relations – all with the approach that better co-ordination can provide new business opportunities for all parties.
A total of 31 carriers were represented at this year’s Interline Conference which was held in late February; among those 110 individual meetings were conducted, which means that the number of meetings has tripled compared to the first Interline Conference held in 2005.

“The constantly increasing number of participants is a clear indicator that the Interline Conference is beneficial for both airlines and for CPH. At the moment, with the downsizing of the markets, all carriers are clearly focused on optimizing their business and the Interline Workshop gives them that exact opportunity. By engaging in dialogue with colleagues in the business they can develop new solutions and partnerships which can enhance their products and business opportunities,” says Carsten Nørland, VP Aviation.
An important step to improve the transfer product
The overall feedback from the participating airlines has been positive. Especially the short individual meeting sessions are enhanced as a good basis to start up dialogues with potential business partners. And even though it is hard to close any deals in only 15 minutes most airlines value that they will gain specific results from this years’ Interline Conference.
