15 different airlines held 45 planned meetings in a day dedicated to airlines only. A great opportunity for airlines to generate more customers and by doing so create new markets.
Airlines from places like Atlanta, Zagreb and Bangkok was present when Airline Relations on February 7th hosted the CPH Interline Workshop at Hilton Copenhagen Airport for the second time. The annual event was again this year a great success and resulted in 26 participants from 15 different airlines conducting 45 planned meetings.
Even though the procedure is well known from Routes the CPH Interline Workshop is not about airports and airlines being in discussions with each other. On the contrary the Interline Workshop is an opportunity for the airlines to negotiate and create new relations. Although the airlines do have other opportunities to meet, the unique aspect of the Interline Workshop is that all day is dedicated to creating new relations to other airlines.
The point for the different airlines is to coordinate their departures relative to each other so that they can generate more customers and by doing so create new markets.
Airline Relations and CPH are looking forward to welcome even more airlines to our next Interline Workshop. If you have any questions or comments to this newsletter please write to tina.bendix@cph.dk.
