For the third consecutive year Copenhagen Airport has been rated Europe’s most efficient airport. Earlier this year the airport was named Europe’s best airport. Meet our representatives at the IATA conference in Vancouver and again at Routes in Dubai in September.
Copenhagen Airport has been rated Europe’s most efficient airport by The Air Transport Research Society, a worldwide organisation of aviation academics and professors, who benchmark the efficiency of the world’s largest airports.
It was the first time an airport received the top rating for three consecutive years. According to the Chairman of the Society, Professor Tae H. Oum of the University of British Columbia, it is particularly remarkable to see an airport with high financial efficiency and high passenger satisfaction at the same time.
The best in Europe
Earlier this year Copenhagen Airport was rated Europe’s best airport 2005 by AETRA (a cooperation between IATA and ACI) for the fourth consecutive year. 100,000 passengers selected at random were asked to rate 66 airports all over the world on their facilities and service in 32 different categories. Passengers gave Copenhagen Airport high ratings in areas such as overall satisfaction, ground transportation to/from the airport, courtesy and helpfulness of airport staff and ambience.
Copenhagen Airport’s cargo department has also received an award in 2006. The CPH cargo department achieved a superior overall score from the readers of Air Cargo World magazine in the category “European Airports – 499,999 or less tons”. This resulted in an Air Cargo Excellence Award for Copenhagen Airport.
