In June 2003, the number of passengers decreased by 3.3% against 4.8% year to date

In June 2003, the total number of passengers in Copenhagen Airport shows a decrease of 3.3% compared to the same month in 2002. The total number of passengers for the first six months of 2003 shows a decrease of 4.8% compared to the same period last year corresponding to 8.5 million passengers.

The first six months of 2003 have been negatively affected by the war in Iraq and the lung disease SARS.

International passengers

The number of international scheduled passengers decreased by 2.3%, while the number of international charter passengers decreased by 8.2%. Consequently, the total number of international passengers decreased by 2.8%. An accumulation of the first six months of 2003 shows a decrease of 4.2% in the number of international scheduled passengers compared with 2002, while the number of international charter passengers decreased by 2.4%. In the first six months of 2002, the total number of international passengers decreased by 4.1%.

Domestic passengers

The total number of domestic passengers decreased by 9.5% compared with 2002. The first six months of 2003 accumulated shows a decrease of 10.9% compared with 2002.

Movements and maximum take-off weight

In June 2003, the total number of take-offs and landings decreased by 1.0%, while the tonnage shows a decrease of 2.6%. The first six months of 2003 accumulated shows a decrease of 2.5% in the number of take-offs and landings, while the tonnage shows a decrease of 3.0%.

Correction

Due to a registration error in May 2003, the number of scheduled domestic transfer passengers for this month has now been reduced by 2,065 passengers. The corrected statistics are available on http://www.cph.dk/
