Lack of Swedish travellers led to decrease in traffic in Copenhagen Airport in January
In January, the total number of passengers in Copenhagen Airport shows a decrease of 3.7% compared to January 2002.
The decrease in the traffic in the first month of 2003 is partly due to the snow weather in the beginning of January 2003 together with a continuos decrease in the traffic to Sweden. On the contrary, the Danish desire to travelling increases as the number of local departing passengers has increased by 8.3% compared to January 2002.
Thus, the number of international passengers decreased by 2.9%. The number of international scheduled passengers decreased by 3.6% while the number of international charter passengers increased by 7.6%. The total number of domestic passengers shows a decrease by 10.4% compared to 2002.
The total number of takeoffs and landings as well as tonnage has decreased by 5.4% in January 2003.
