In February 2002 the number of passengers decreased by 2.2% at Copenhagen Airport
In February 2002 the total number of passengers shows a decrease of 2.2% compared to the same month in 2001. The accumulated decrease of the first two-month of 2002 is 3.2% compared to the same period last year.
In the month of February 2002 the number of international passengers has decreased by 1.2%. The number of international scheduled passengers increased by 1.2%. This means that accumulated for the first two-month of 2002 the number of international scheduled passengers has shown an increase of 0.1% compared to 2001. The number of international charter passengers shows a decrease of 26.2% compared to last year.
Once again in February 2002 the number of domestic passengers shows a decrease. Compared to February last year a decrease of 10.3% was registered. The accumulated decrease of the first two-month of 2002 regarding domestic passengers is 9.6% compared to the same period last year.
In February 2002 the total number of takeoffs and landings has decreased by 9.8%, while the tonnage shows a decrease by 6.5%.
The main reason for the traffic decrease in February 2002 is the terror actions in USA on September 11, 2001. |
