In the first ten months of 2001 the accumulated growth in the number of passengers was 1.3% compared to the same period last year.
In October 2001 the number of international passengers has decreased by 6.2%. The number of international scheduled passengers decreased by 5.1%, 2001, while the number of international charter passengers decreased by 20.6%. The main reason for this development is the terror actions in USA on September 11, 2001.
Once again in the month of October 2001 the number of domestic passengers decreased. The decrease was 10.1% compared to October 2000. The accumulated figure of the first ten months of 2001 shows a decrease of 6.1% compared to the same period last year.
In October 2001 the total number of takeoffs and landings has decreased by 4.1%, while the tonnage shows an increase by 2.0%, of which international scheduled flights show an increase by 3.6%.
