The month of February shows an actual growth of 5%.
The total of passengers in February 2001 shows a statistic decrease of 2.6% partly due to insufficient comparison to February 2000.
In February 2001 the number of international passengers has increased by 1.7%. The number of international scheduled passengers increased by 2.4%, while the number of international charter passengers decreased by 5.3%. During the first 2 months of 2001 the accumulated growth of the international passengers is 5.7%.
In the month of February 2001 the number of domestic passengers shows a decrease of 8.6% compared to February 2000.
The traffic figures are affected by the weather condition early February 2001and the fact that February 2000 had 29 days. Considering the above as well as the effect from the close down of the traffic from the catamaran ferry between Denmark and Sweden in August 2000, the figures corresponding to an increase of approximately 5% on the total of passengers compared to February 2000.
This month’s traffic figures give no cause in changing the expected growth of 4-6% in 2001. |
