Passport control and security screening in the Pier C access area
In order to create the necessary spatial connections, the existing building that currently houses a lounge for C23 and a seating area for security will be removed and replaced by a new two-storey building. The ground floor area that serves as a handling road and equipment area will remain unchanged.
A new passport control point on the second floor will replace the smaller existing passport control point on the balcony. The passport booths will be similar to those in CPH Go. There will be three passport booths with six lanes and a possibility of adding an additional two lanes.

Security section on the first floor
Four new security screening lanes will be established here with a possibility of adding an additional two lanes. Due to the road underneath and the need to adjust to current floor heights on the second floor, the first floor will have a rather low room height (see animation). The room height will be approximately 2.6 metres, and about 3.2 metres between the beams.

Separation of passenger traffic
It is currently a great challenge to handle crossing flows of passenger coming from C20, C26 and C12A (buses) and passengers from the rest of Pier C. The intended solution is to separate the passenger flows from C20, C26 and C12A by means of a separate staircase, so that passengers can go directly to passport control on the same floor or down the stairs to the security screening area on the first floor. This also applies to passengers from the southern end of Pier C, who can proceed directly to passport control or down to security on the first floor using a different staircase.
