Extension of the arrivals level on the second floor
The extension to the arrivals level will have the same finish as the current areas, with parquet floors in massive jatoba, and with white plasterboard walls and ceilings.
Due to a 1.8 m height difference between the roof at the south end of Pier C and the rest of Pier C, a long ramp will be built immediately north of gate C33. Moving walkways will be installed in the new extension of the arrivals level as well as in the current area.
Toilets designed in accordance with the new CPH toilet concept will be located where passengers from the southern end of Pier C arrive at the orientation zone, close to the passport control and security checkpoint. The toilets will be located on top of a new C27 lounge (previously C23).
Staircase towers
Access to the arrivals level will be via three new staircase towers designed in the same style as the current staircase towers with jatoba floors and stair threads, white-painted plaster walls and ceilings, and facades consisting of aluminium cassettes and glazing. The geometric design will be adapted to individual functional requirements.
Staircase tower C33
The staircase tower leading to gate C33 will be cut into the existing building immediately south of C33. Passengers from C33 currently have to go via a glazed hallway on the first floor to the staircase tower at gate C29 to get to the passport control and security screening area just before Pier C joins the main building. The stairways and elevators are placed so as to ensure that they cause the least possible inconvenience to the existing driveways and structures on the ground. In the lounge, a new toilet facility will be built to replace the toilets that have to give way to the new staircase tower.

Staircase tower C36
C36 will have a separate, free-standing staircase tower similar to the existing staircase towers. At C36, the C34 and C38 aircraft stands will cease to serve as independent stands. This will be done in response to a request by TRO and not as a consequence of the project.

Staircase tower C37 and C40
At the south end of the Pier C access area, a staircase tower will be established to serve C37 (C35-C39) and C40. The staircase tower will be on the east side at C37, and following a later extension to Pier C, it will solely serve C37. As the staircase tower must be able to handle all arrivals from two aircraft stands for some time, the escalators, the ordinary stairs and the staircase tower will be slightly wider than usual. Arriving passengers from C40 will move to the staircase tower via a glazed hallway in the lounge.
