Conversion of Pier C
CPH is focusing on attracting more intercontinental traffic, which is of great value to Denmark’s international accessibility and competitiveness. A key part of this work is the effort to create more capacity for intercontinental traffic.
CPH is currently working on an extension and maintenance project for Pier C, the airport’s hub for intercontinental flights. The project includes two sub-projects: extension and maintenance of the passport and security checkpoints on the second floor of Pier C and an extension of the arrivals level on the second floor all the way to the south end of Pier C.
The project is based on the existing conditions in Pier C. The new arrivals level on the second floor and the staircase towers will be a natural extension of the existing Pier C.
Time frame
The project will run from late August 2011 until late October 2012
- The new security checkpoint will open in early June 2012, and the new passport control will open about a month later
- The arrivals level is planned to be brought into use with the winter programme 2012 on 30 October 2012
