We are building the world’s best airport for you
Copenhagen Airport wants to be the world’s best airport. Therefore, we regularly ask passengers and airlines what their dream airport looks like. Most of them repeat one thing: travelling must be simple and efficient, and the time spent at the airport must be used wisely.
Waiting time in queues is something we are working hard to reduce. New technologies for checking in online, by text message or on a kiosk at the airport and shorter waiting time for security screening are all elements that reduce the overall waiting time. These are areas where we have already come a long way, but we have ambitions of getting much further.
For your time in the transit area before you go to the gate, we give you as many options as possible. In 2008 alone, we added 5,500 square metres of new passenger areas with more seating if you want to rest, and many more shops and restaurants with offers for any taste, if you want to go shopping or would like to enjoy a meal or a drink.
As in 2008, we plan to invest a significant amount for the convenience of passengers during 2009. We are currently remodelling Terminal 3 to provide more space, not least for the many passengers who travel to the airport by train or Metro. Moreover, we are improving the check-in facilities by putting up more check-in kiosks. And we will soon break the ground for our new concept, CPH SWIFT.
